Mike Bishop, a founding member of the shock rock, heavy metal, comic book-loving, D&D playing, art collective: GWAR, talks to Staci Layne Wilson on this episode of “Rock & Roll Nightmares.” Mike is an academic and PhD., but music fans know him as GWAR’s bassist “Beefcake the Mighty” and lead singer “Blothar The Berserker.” His GRAMMY-winning band has been pushing buttons and spewing gore since the 80s, and they are still going strong with the release of a brand-new documentary film, This is GWAR. Staci concludes by reading a never-before-heard excerpt from her upcoming book, “Rock & Roll Nightmares: True Stories, Vol 2” which explores the topic of Stage Fright.
